The design of Osvaldo is unique in its simplicity and harmony. Crafted from ceramic, the clock's body is a single, soft stroke of a pencil brought to life. The hands, initially created using 3D printing SLA technology for the prototype, are made of metal in the production model. The clock measures 145 mm in width, 135 mm in depth, and 215 mm in height, making it a compact yet noticeable presence.

The inspiration for Osvaldo came from "La Linea," a popular Italian cartoon from the 1960s and 70s created by Osvaldo Cavandoli. Just like the cartoon's character, the clock's design is dynamic and distinctive. This connection to a beloved cultural icon adds a layer of nostalgia and charm to the clock, enhancing its appeal.

The creation of Osvaldo was a six-month process that took place between Milano and Manzano. The design team at MrSmith Studio conducted extensive research on home-office table clocks and ceramic production techniques. The challenge was to ensure that the few components of the clock - the body, hands, and mechanism - were in perfect harmony. Finding the right suppliers to meet these exacting standards was a significant part of the process.
